The series is set in the year 2517, after the arrival of humans in a new star system. It follows the adventures of the renegade crew of Serenity, a “Firefly-class” spaceship. Gina Torres plays the titular badass Zoe Washburne in this epic Sci-fi Cowboy adventure.

Despite Firefly only having run 14 episodes and an early TV cancellation the show generated a a fanatical following of ‘browncoats’. For many Firefly is Joss Whedon’s undiscovered gem.
